The ChallengeMost school websites feel institutional—structured, text-heavy, and designed more to inform than to inspire. But Curious Campers Nature School is built on an entirely different philosophy: that children learn best through curiosity, nature, and meaningful experiences.
The challenge was to create a website that reflected this way of learning. It needed to feel playful without becoming childish, interactive without feeling overwhelming, and imaginative while remaining clear and functional for parents navigating programs, admissions, and school information. Above all, the website had to communicate that Curious Campers isn't just a school—it's a place where childhood is celebrated.
The solutionWe designed a digital experience that feels like stepping into nature. Soft earthy colors, hand-painted illustrations, layered textures, and scrapbook-inspired layouts bring warmth and personality to every page, creating a sense of wonder without visual clutter.
Interactive details and playful animations encourage exploration, while thoughtful navigation and clear information architecture ensure parents can easily find what they're looking for. The result is a website that feels calm, welcoming, and full of curiosity—a breath of fresh air in the education space. It captures the joy of muddy hands, barefoot adventures, and outdoor learning while providing families with an intuitive, functional experience that reflects the heart of Curious Campers Nature School.
We created a library of custom illustrations that bring Curious Campers' world to life, capturing the curiosity, play, and meaningful interactions that define everyday learning at the school. Beyond adding personality to the brand, the illustrations were designed as a flexible visual system—easily mixed, matched, and rearranged to create new scenes across a wide range of brand touchpoints, from print materials to digital assets.

Split Effect on Scroll
For the website, we designed a custom split-scroll hero animation where two illustrated trees welcome visitors upon landing, then gently separate as they scroll to reveal the website. Inspired by the experience of entering a forest, the interaction adds a sense of curiosity, playfulness, and discovery while making the website feel more immersive and memorable.
